S. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., intends to deliver millions for road and other infrastructure projects in Clark County.
Murray used her position as chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Transportation, Housing and Urban Development subcommittee to include money for a half-dozen local projects in the 2009 federal spending bill.

INDIANAPOLIS - Eric Holcombe, a former top aide to Gov. Mitch Daniels and manager of his re-election campaign, is the new chairman of the Indiana Republican Party.
The Indiana Republican State Committee chose Holcombe in a unanimous 18-0 vote Monday morning. He was the only candidate for the job that former Chairman Murray Clark vacated after five years, and he was backed by Daniels and all of the party's other power players.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Patty Murray brought four-star power to her battle Thursday with Republican challenger George Nethercutt over who's a bigger friend of military contractors.
