Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. sustained internal injuries when he was thrown from a motorcycle, the team said Monday night.

The plaintiff's son was thrown from his motorcycle when another vehicle cut him off. The plaintiff was following her son in her own car at the time. She saw the accident and went to assist him. The young man was pronounced dead 30 minutes later.

CASCO -- A 47-year-old man was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries after the motorcycle he was operating crossed the center line and hit a car head-on Sunday morning on Route 121.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reported that Mark Leach, 47, was summonsed for operating a motorcycle without the proper endorsements following the 10:45 a.m. crash. Leach was operating a 1996 Honda motorcycle when he hit a 1994 Ford Escort driven by Mark Valsecchi, 52, of Otisfield.

Douglas Daniele, who founded the North Jersey Mountain Biking Club, died Wednesday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Sloatsburg, N.Y. He was 48.
Mr. Daniele lived in Paramus. His son Michael recently played on the Little League team that won the state championship.
