A West Milford High School sophomore was critically injured Friday morning when he ran into the path of a township school bus on Macopin Road, authorities said. The 15-year-old student was in stable condition at Morristown Memorial Hospital late Friday, said John Petrelli, the West Milford schools superintendent. Authorities did not release his name Friday.
Amanda Byron Rydell Nagy, 32, of Salem, Va. and Stanhope, N.J., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 19, 2011, at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown N.J., after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of eight years, Christopher Nagy, of Stanhope, N.J.; parents, Carl and Carol Rydell of Salem, Va.; sister, Sara Rydell Jones of Roanoke, Va.; grandmother, Marjorie Byron of Salem, Va.; grandmother, Ellen Rydell of East Longmeadow, Mass.; and in-laws, Chuck and Judy Nagy of Succasunna, N.J. Amanda was also a doting aunt to her nieces, Lily, Stella, and Ruby Jones, also of Roanoke, Va.
BLOOMINGDALE -- A 14-year-old student was injured Tuesday afternoon when he suffered a seizure and fell from a bleacher at the Walter T. Bergen School. The student was taken by helicopter to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

RINGWOOD -- A two-car accident on Greenwood Lake Turnpike Tuesday resulted in multiple injuries and shut the roadway while police investigated. One victim was flown by medevac helicopter to Hackensack University Medical Center, and the rest were transported by ambulances to Morristown Memorial Hospital, police said.
