Perhaps the most frequent queries I receive come from readers wondering why certain older TV series are not yet available in full- season DVD box sets. Shows I'm asked about repeatedly include "WKRP in Cincinnati" (which has been held up by expensive music rights for pop songs used in various episodes), "Remington Steele" (supposedly in the works), "Moonlighting" (not scheduled at the moment, although the pilot is on DVD) and "Miami Vice" (also not scheduled at the moment).

Twenty-five years ago this month, "Hill Street Blues" debuted on NBC.
