In April, the World Bank approved a $20 million loan to finance a major economic development program in Zambia. The program is a joint effort between the international community and the Zambia government to revitalize the local economy by reforming the public sector and improving that national business climate. One of the biggest challenges faced by Zambia and many other African countries is how to use local resource reserves to generate wealth and sow the seeds to long-term growth.
