The independent film "Fang," written and directed by Glen Burnie resident Jonathan Boushell, will premiere at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Towson University in room 204 of Van Bokkelen Hall. During the past year Boushell filmed two additional scenes for the horror-comedy and spent time doing sound work and finding music for the movie.
Charles Day, Glen Burnie High School's world languages department chairman, recently inducted 10 students into the school's French Honor Society. They are Colleen Borczon, Danae Cannedy, Duangchanoke Chana, Alejandra Garcia, Ronald Maldonado, Sarah McDonald, Sarah Oyeneyin, Luis Ramos-Peralta, Nacy Reyes and Brandon Zebron.

Benchmarking is most useful in quality control and environmental protection initiatives since it allows companies to set up realistic performance targets that have already been attained by others.
Students and choreographers from Dance Horizons in Redlands have competed at two conventions this season, Hollywood Dance Experience and Hollywood Vibe. At the Hollywood Dance Experience convention, all their dances placed at the gold level or higher.

Goodlatte plans town hall meeting at Hidden Valley High Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke County, will hold a town hall meeting Sept. 3 at Hidden Valley High School. On Aug. 19, Congressman Goodlatte announced that he will be holding town hall meetings across the 6th Congressional District of Virginia.
LEWISTON - Maine Event cheerleaders were successful in their first competition of the 2010 All Star Cheer Season. Four of Maine Event's cheer teams competed at the Big League Open Championship in Springfield, Mass. All four teams received their bids to the U.S. Finals cheer competition in Virginia Beach in May.
