The 99 career touchdowns thrown by Jon Kitna were thought to have the staying power of Joe DiMaggio's consecutive-game hitting streak. Reilly broke the record on Oct. 11 against Western Washington, and has since run his total to 110 with at least two games left.
It's been more than just the running, although Reilly's 1,175 yards are the most by any CWU quarterback. Few of his carries have been by design, with the majority of yards coming on improvisational scrambles.

What about players like "fast" Willie Parker who had to enter the league as free agents because they were vilified by their college head coacnes, "just because" and causing him and others like him to lose millions of dollars because of a calculated de-valuation system now being initiated by the NPL. If character issues were paramount, [Brady Quinn]'s fingernails would not have been nibbled down to nubs waiting on the "red" phone to ring. In the end, the best athletes were drafted, plain and simple.
I was talking with Mike Reilly Jr., storied Pittsburgh sports personality and writer, and he told me a funny story he had heard about Steelers future Hall-of-Fame receiver Hines Ward and his son, Mike Reilly III. seems like Michael III was playing the new Steelers mascot on the day of the lun...

SEATTLE -- Given all he's done at Qwest Field, including passing numbers that would do NFL Hall of Famers proud, it's hard to believe that Mike Reilly's first pass in the Seahawks' venue was caught by the other team.
It's true.
