TROY -- Mike King is moving from his native Ohio, but he can't leave the world of emergency services.
King resigned earlier this month after three years as director of the Miami County Communications Center, the countywide headquarters for answering 911 calls and dispatching all police, fire and emergency medical service agencies.

Mike King owns the only one-table restaurant in Charleston, but he sometimes serves 100 to 150 meals a day at The Corner Kitchen. He urges customers call their orders in, preferably the day before, or between 8 and 9 a.m. on the day they want it.
His two-entree menu rotates daily. One item will be on a set menu. On Mondays, he serves meatloaf, spaghetti on Tuesdays, chicken and dumplings on Wednesday, pork chops on Thursdays and baked steak on Fridays. Chicken and dumplings and baked steak are his best sellers.
