FLINT, Mich., Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to GO GREEN, . The Freeway to Fuels project will test the potential of growing oilseed crops for bioenergy production. Phase I explored the feasibility of growing, harvesting and utilizing bioenergy crop on non-traditional land in Michigan. Growing oilseed crops on non- traditional cropland creates economic activity and jobs on land that is currently not in production.
In 2003, Michigan State University (MSU) announced the establishment of degree and certificate programs in judicial administration. These programs address the need of court employees and others interested in joining the profession to obtain a credential that judges and others hiring court managers will recognize as providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities qualifying them to administer courts. In so doing, MSU joined a line of universities and law schools that attempted to establish and maintain viable, highly credentialed programs in the fluidly defined profession of court administration. Here, Nafisi and Conner discuss why MSU has been willing to undertake this initiative when other universities have lost interest or ended their programs.

Market potential is one of the critical variables in determining the competitiveness of a country. The study investigates the classic relationship between market potential and foreign direct investment in twenty-six emerging markets using the Market Potential Indicator (MPI) of Michigan State University (MSU). MPI is a composite of market size, market growth rate, market intensity, market consumption capacity, commercial infrastructure, economic freedom, market receptivity, and country risk. Findings indicate that MPI moderately explains the FDI inflow in the emerging economies. A factor analysis reveals that the true dimensions of MPI are power of the market, openness and growth, and capacity and infrastructure.
