The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin has filed a legal action challenging the U.S. Department of Interior's rejection of the tribe's effort to establish a casino at Kenosha's Dairyland Greyhound Park.
The lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court, Green Bay Division, contends that in the final months of the administration of President George W. Bush the Interior Department acted unlawfully in actions that denied the tribe's application to have the land taken into trust.
