Walter R. Roberts, Jr., 79, of Cheyenne died Nov. 9, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Tuskegee, Ala., and had lived here since 1948.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Rich Bircumshaw, the play-by-play voice of the Colorado State University Rams football and men's basketball teams since 2002 and news director for a cluster of Clear Channel radio stations in northern Colorado, has died after a stroke. He was 54. Bircumshaw died at about midnight Thursday, a few hours after being rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, said Scott James, program director for KCOL-AM in Loveland.
George Franklin Durr, 79, of Wheatland died Nov. 20 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. He was born June 30, 1928, in Belle Fourche, S.D., the son of Frank C. and Hazel H. (Newland) Durr.
CHEYENNE -- Rising slowly but surely above the plains near Loveland, Colo., is a potential threat to the supply of doctors and nurses in southern Wyoming. Bruce Nozolino, the man accused of murdering his wife's lover in 2008 and trying to kill her divorce attorney and the judge who oversaw the case, is due in court Friday morning. A preliminary hearing in 4th Judicial District Court will focus on whether prosecutors have enough evidence to support two counts of perjury against Nozolino. Prosecutors have not released details about the allegations, and an arrest warrant was sealed after the charges were filed.
