NAACP volunteers and staff have worked since Friday to help displaced persons in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. A team of 25 NAACP staff and volunteers from the NAACP Southeast Regional office located in Atlanta delivered three truck loads of relief supplies, including food, clothing and paper goods. The supplies were donated by Wal-Mart. In addition, [Bruce S. Gordon] delivered a plane load of medical supplies in Baton Rouge last Friday. An NAACP command center has been set up in Biloxi at the Main Street Missionary Baptist Church, 321 Main Street.
