Colorado will receive $5.7 million as part of a $160 million multistate settlement with Maryland-based Maxim Healthcare Services, an in-home health care service provider.
Colorado is one of 41 states involved in the suit, which settles allegations that the company billed Medicaid for services it did not perform.

PATERSON Two Paterson residents are among eight people indicted Friday on charges of fraudulently collecting unemployment benefits, the Attorney General's Office said.
Thelma Gray, 34, of Paterson was charged with third-degree theft by deception for allegedly filing an unemployment insurance claim in 2002, when she was employed by ATC Staffing Services Inc. and Maxim Healthcare Services as a nursing assistant. Gray allegedly failed to notify the labor department of those earnings and allegedly stole $8,671 in unemployment benefits.
