Camas home builder Matthew Clarkson is in the running for a position on the executive board of the Building Industry Association of Washington. If Clarkson, 42, wins the bid for 2008 treasurer of the state group, he'll be in line to become president of the 12,500-member association in 2010. He announced his candidacy at the group's board meeting in Olympia this week. The vote will be decided in November by the association's 300-member board of directors. Clarkson is running unopposed, so far.
