The late Matt Myers will always be remembered for his generous spirit, willingness to encourage others and love of running.
And, thanks to the generosity of his parents and sister and cooperation of Cal Poly Pomona officials, Matt's legacy of kindness continues with Matt's Run, a 5K walk/run event which raises money for the Matthew Myers Memorial Scholarship Fund.

A new concrete barrier divides the northbound and southbound lanes of Providence Road south of Stadium Boulevard. The barrier is meant to restrict turns and cause more pedestrians to cross at signals during University of Missouri sporting events, said Matt Myers, a traffic engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation.

CONCORD, N.H. - Can a robot pitch a tent? If so, a Boy Scout who builds one might be able to earn two merit badges at once.
The Boy Scouts of America, which offers more than 120 badges ranging from archery to wilderness survival, next week will unveil a robotics merit badge meant to promote science, technology, engineering and math, fields collectively known as STEM. In doing so, the 101-year-old Texas-based organization is trying to remain relevant and better reflect boys' interests, said Matt Myers, who oversees the Boy Scouts' STEM initiative.

WOOSTER -- David Maurer and David Rohrer, both re-elected supervisors from Wayne Soil and Water Conservation District, were sworn in on Jan. 11 at the Wayne SWCD board meeting. They were re- elected at the Wayne SWCD annual meeting in November.
Elected to a three-year term, Maurer and Rohrer join Fred Myers, Matt Peart and John Redick in administering the Wayne SWCD's natural resource conservation programs.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Loretha Faye (Green) Myers passed away April 11, 2007, as the result of complications of a stroke. Born to Mollie Bolt in Glendale, Ariz., April 5, 1922, and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Loretha married a young Air Force lieutenant, Howard S. (Sam) Myers in January 1945 and accompanied Sam to numerous duty stations in Europe and the United States until his retirement as a full colonel in 1970.
Loretha was the mother of the couple's two sons, Sam Myers III of Minneapolis, Minn., and Scott Myers of Chapel Hill, N.C. She was a consummate nurturer, first of her five siblings, then her sons, then her five grandchildren, Matt Myers, Jenny Myers, Ben Myers, Will Myers and Luke Myers.

WINFIELD - There is no concession stand, no scoreboard, and no organ music filling the air. The press box is not open, but that is not a problem because there are plenty of seats in the bleachers available ... and there are only six people in attendance, and one brought a chair. Matt's reputation for kindness and enthusiasm for running are part of the legacy sustained through Matt's Run, a 5K walk/run on Oct. 6 co-presented by Cal Poly Pomona and the Myers family to raise money for the Matthew Myers Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Tyler Myers spent most of Thursday recovering from a long Wednesday night. Hopefully, he found a little time to find a flight to Las Vegas. He'll be going there at the end of June.
The Buffalo Sabres' defenseman has been named one of three finalists for the Calder Trophy, awarded annually to the NHL's most proficient rookie. Myers' competitors are Colorado forward Matt Duchene and Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard.

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Matt Clement compares it to being involved in a car accident. It's something he'll never be able to get out of his mind.
