JACKSON - A state legislator wants to restore Colonel Reb as the University of Mississippi mascot. State Rep. Mark DuVall, D-Mantachie, has filed legislation that would force the university to use the icon as its team mascot. His bill also would require the Ole Miss band to play "Dixie" and "From Dixie with Love" during football and basketball games.
