Edna W. "Ted" Jackson, age 98, of the Friends Home of Kennett Square, formerly of Christiana, PA, passed away at the Friends Home on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. She was the wife of the late Brinton W. Jackson who passed away on May 31, 1958. She was born in Homeville, daughter of the late William W. and Julia Ann Girvin Walton. She was a member of Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church of Quarryville, and prior to that, she had attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church of Steelville, PA. She was a graduate of Coatesville High School class of 1930 and then received her R.N. from the Wilmington Memorial Hospital in 1934, B.S. in Nursing Education from West Chester State College in 1968. COX MILLS - Police say two they've arrested two Gilmer County women on child abuse charges related to allegations they used electrical shocks to punish four children. WDTV reports that 35-year-old Mary Ann Starcher is charged with four counts of child abuse and 32-year-old Yarica Jackson is charged with four counts of child neglect.
