Thinking back on all the wonderful people I've met since my breast cancer diagnosis, one of the standouts is Mary Ann Wasil Nilan of Milford. She is a phenomenal human being who, one might say, has been single-handedly responsible for the breast health of the future generation. Along with the members of her Get in Touch Foundation, they have educated girls to "get in touch" with what their breasts feel like.
We want girls to always know what 'healthy normal' for them feels like," and therefore they become confident when they know they should have something checked because it doesn't feel right, she said.
