  • Kenneth Ansel, 82, Stevens, died Feb. 7, 2012, in Ephrata Hospital. Born in Reamstown, he was a son of Harry G. and Edna (Sweigart) Ansel. Ken and his wife, Arlene W. (Gelsinger) Ansel, would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on March 3rd. An engineer with Sperry New Holland, now CNH, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, coached little league baseball and raised and trained race horses and beagles. Also surviving: daughter, Kathy Ansel, and sons, Perry (Patricia Werner) Ansel, and Jeffrey (Mary Thompson) Ansel, all of Stevens; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marguerite Mohn, Akron; and brothers, Donald Ansel, Stevens; Clair (Allegra Newpher) Ansel, Terre Hill; and Marvin (Florence Wenger) Ansel, Ephrata. He was predeceased by brothers, Vincent and Carl Ansel.
