A long-ago favorite TV episode of mine starred domestic diva Martha Stewart. It was a Christmas show in which Martha was teaching viewers how to make and, most importantly, assemble a gingerbread house. The guest star was Miss Piggy of Muppet fame.
I have long loved Miss Piggy. Martha, not so much. During the assembly of the baked and decorated house Miss Piggy paid rapt attention as Martha explained in excruciating detail (yawn) about "building" the house and inserting pins to hold it all together. Martha further explained that in order to put the roof on top of the gingerbread, she needed another pair of hands which Miss Piggy obviously did not have, being a stuffed creature with only four pudgy legs. Winston Clark has put in a lot of time at dollar stores over the years -- yes, he's even willing to admit it. Now it's payoff time.
As music director of the Connecticut Gay Men's Chorus, Clark's the man responsible for writing those naughty lyrics for the popular concerts which have satirized everything for the last 21 years from Christmas tree angels to every member of the Bush administration to Martha Stewart.
