[Bob Sanders] lines up too deep-and is too quickfor a lineman or tight end to block him. Consequently, offenses use wide receivers to do it. That might work against most teams, but it doesn't against the Colts, who have a pair of physical corners in Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden. Receivers rarely get away from the Colts' press coverage in time to even attempt to block Sanders.

LAST WEEK: New England def. Washington, 52-7; Indianapolis def. Carolina, 31-7
PATRIOTS OFFENSE: This is easily the biggest test the Patriots have faced. The Colts come in with the NFL's fourth-best defense in terms of yards (272.9) and second in points allowed (14.6). They have the league's top-rated pass defense (165.4 yards). The Colts are no longer an easy team to run against. They are extremely fast on defense and will smack anyone who gets in their way. Cornerbacks Kelvin Hayden and Marlin Jackson are second and third on the team in tackles. So what will New England do? Exactly what it's done all year. New England, which is averaging 41.4 points a ...
