Keith Berner finished in third place in the dash for the six fastest qualifiers on Saturday night in the Super Late Models at Wayne County Speedway and drove to his first win of the 2009 season.
Todd Werntz won the dash and lined up on the pole with Mark Gardiner on the outside of the front row. As soon as the green was waved, Werntz led the pack of the eighteen starters for the first lap with Berner putting severe pressure on the leader. While the top two were exiting turn two on the second lap, Berner dropped to the bottom of the multi-grooved racing surface and shot to the point and put several yards of clay between himself and the second-place runner. On the following circuit, a three-car battle ensued with Werntz and Gardiner side-by-side and Doug Drown moving from his fifth-place s...

A total of nine features were contested at Hilltop Speedway Friday, as the racing action picked up from last week with the Tri State modifieds starting on lap 7 with Gary Clark leading the pack back to the green flag. He would be hounded all race long by Fredericktown's Darrick Hubbard. As the two came to the finish line, a lapped car was right in front of them and Clark went to the high side and made contact with the slower car and Hubbard went low and edged out Clark for his first win at Hilltop. Matt Shroyer, Nick Smith and Kevin Potts took top five finishes.
Although he led all the way in the regular night's feature, Massillon's Mark Gardiner had no room for a mistake as Kevin Morehouse kept the pressure on before a spin on lap 16. Norm Aronhalt moved into second and couldn't catch ...

Keynesian "stimulus" spending didn't work for FDR, Carter or Bush. And it has not worked for President Barack Obama. We do, however, have clear historical evidence of government financial disasters stemming from monetization of debt. The of popularized "theory" is a mark of na?ete -- not mature intellectual wisdom.
