sports kicker logo Ben Roethlisberger still hasn't lost an NFL game or played an entire NFL season, yet he's clos-ing in on a feat only one other quarterback in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers has accom-plished. OK, so it's not the four Super Bowl rings won by Terry Brad-shaw. That one may have to wait awhile.
Roethlisberger will match Bradshaw's longest regular-season winning streak, the 11-game run in 1975, if the Steelers (11-1) defeat the New York Jets (9-3) on Sun-day in Pittsburgh.

Big Ben threw five touchdown passes and tied a team record previously held by Terry Bradshaw and Mark Malone as the Steelers dismantled the Ravens 38-7. His vision of the field and his perception of danger were woven into one fabric. He had the Ravens on a "spit" basting the birds with butter and honey. He was like Houdini and Baryshnikov, all rolled into one. It was fitting that the Steelers wore their throwback uniforms because [Ben Roethlisberger] looked like a throwback player. He had the elusiveness of Terry Bradshaw, the scrambling ability of Kordell Stewart and the guile of the late "Jefferson Street" Joe Gilliam. On ...
