In family law mediation, P-E-A-C-E is the acronym followed for protocol and issues to be mediated. P-E-A-C-E stands for Parenting Plan; Equitable Distribution; Alimony; Child Support; and Everything Else. A marital settlement agreement did not extinguish the wife's rights as the named beneficiary to the proceeds of her ex-husband's investment account, the Wyoming Supreme Court has ruled.
A husband designated his wife as the beneficiary of his investment account. When they divorced, the couple's settlement agreement gave the husband the account as his "sole and separate property." But he did not change the beneficiary.
