Giant tube worms and underwater volcanoes are among topics that Edward Baker, a senior scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory in Seattle, will discuss today at a public lecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For 20 years, Baker has been combing the seafloor looking for life. The lecture will be at 3 p.m. in Room AB20, Weeks Hall, 1215 W. Dayton St. He talked with Journal Sentinel science reporter Susanne Quick about his work.
