This town, about a 5 1/2-hour drive from Buffalo, is as quaint as a Norman Rockwell painting. Not a surprise, since Rockwell, a prolific artist and illustrator who lived in Stockbridge from 1953 until his death in 1978, got much of his inspiration from the people and places in this Berkshire Mountains town. Marian E. (Mitzie) Hickox, 92, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2011. She was born in Bennington, N.Y., on July 14, 1918, to the late William and Lillian Sangbush, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Edwin W. Burger; and her beloved husband, Chester C.
