This research examined the degree of fit between academic learning objectives of graduate programs in Organization Development and Change and organizational hiring requirements for OD&C practitioners using content and thematic analyses. Results suggest that OD job postings are heavily focused on training and development and people management components. In contrast, components more frequently noted on OD graduate program web sites are people management, organizational analysis and design, human resource functions (specifically change management), execution, and lastly training and development.
