Let's see. We've seen the lives of Loretta Lynn, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ritchie Valens, Tina Turner, Selena and Ray Charles on the big screen.
Heck, even the musically challenged Sid Vicious has had his own biopic.

The entire show was a hit it deserved standing ovation all around. Dreamgirls even brought out the best of the best, celebrities such as Angela Bassett, Nia Long, Kenny Latimore, Cheryl Lee Ralph, Jennifer Holiday, Loretta Devine and many more. Shane Sparks, Co-Choreographer for the musical Dreamgirls, said that he thought that it was one of the better shows. "I saw this show maybe twenty times when I was in New York, everyday, and it's ten times better then it was when I was there. "Everyone looked and sounded comfortable and perfect, the wigs and costumes, there were no flaws it was perfect, it was probably the best show I've seen them do, and I've seen it from scratefi, I was very proud" said Sparks.

Remember Kurtis Blow? He was a major force during the first era of rap, with hits such as "The Breaks" and "Christmas Rappin'." Well, these days, Blow, 47, whose real name is Kurtis Walker, is a minister, in charge of Kurtis Blow Ministries. He functions as "Pastor Kurtis Blow." (Hmmmm, maybe his "calling" had something to do with being out of the rap mainstream for so long.)
One of the currently popular songs in the nation's dance clubs is "One Night Only." It is from the Broadway show "Dreamgirls" and was originally sung by Sheryl Lee Ralph, Loretta Devine and Deborah Burrell. That was in 1982. In the show they were "Deena Jones & the Dreams" (the show is based loosely on Diana Ross & the Supremes). The new club-friendly version is sung by the stars of the upcoming movie, Beyo...

All of Atlanta is still talking about the hilarious and inspirational words of wisdom "Law and Order" star Anthony Anderson shared at the Seagram's Gin Pursuit of Excellence graduation. In the crowd were some of Atlanta's best and brightest, including top radio personality Ryan Cameron and hunky "Fox Atlanta" anchorman Mark Hayes. The festive occasion was held to honor the 10 outstanding young men who successfully completed the program, which is designed to address rising unemployment among Black males in some of the hardest hit cities in the country: Atlanta, Chicago, Tampa and Columbia, S.C. A befitting celebration and cause from Seagram's, America's No.-l selling gin - and I'll drink to that.
The honorées include Natalie Cole, Loretta Devine, Denise Pines, Holly Robinson Peete, Shery...
