A New Jersey-based wine importer and distributor announced Friday it will acquire Mid-State Distributors LLC on North Plains Industrial Road. Winebow Inc., which imports wine and spirits from around the world and specializes in Italian wines, bought wine distributor Mid-State to expand the company into Connecticut, said Winebow President and CEO Leonardo LoCascio. Financial details of the deal, slated to close in March, were not disclosed.
We're looking to grow the business substantially," said LoCascio, who founded Winebow in 1980. "Connecticut, for us, is the first leg of that strategy.
