School officials have new authority to search student vehicles for drugs, weapons and other contraband.
The New Jersey State Supreme Court ruled Nov. 10 that student cars, when parked on school property with special permission from administrators, are subject to search without a warrant when a school official has "reasonable suspicion" of illegal activity.

Throughout the month of July, Healthy Main Streets is encouraging residents of all ages and ability levels to explore various Boston Main Streets districts in search of "Charlie," everyone's favorite local Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) icon.
