With video arcades on life support, local area network (LAN) gaming centers are becoming the new social spot for gamers. Popping quarters into machines with joysticks has been replaced by pay-by-the-hour stores featuring network connected high-end computers , leather chairs, sofas, high-definition televisions and the latest video gaming systems.
