"I went out and got the hand warmers, and they went out and got the cashmere sweaters. I got to Chicago and it was 70 degrees at 8 o'clock at night. All the stores were closed, and I'm thinking, 'I'm not going to have any time tomorrow.'

This weekend marks perhaps the most widely watched shareholder meeting in the world. Up to 40,000 shareholders could show up in Omaha to hear Warren Buffett talk about Berkshire Hathaway. Liz Claman, Fox Business Network anchor, interviewed Buffett prior to the meeting. On Friday, she shared her insights into his thinking. Here's an edited version of what she said:

LEWISTON -- The Franco-American Heritage Center will kick off its Cabaret Series on Saturday, Oct. 10, with popular emcee Louis Philippe, who will once again host the fast-moving musical variety show featuring local entertainers.

M usical Theatre West's 10th annual Broadway in the Park was held Sept. 27 at Fox Point Manor, the Peralta Hills estate of Linda and Howard Knohl in Anaheim. (She's MTW's board president).
Footlighters, a support group for Musical Theatre West, hosted a late-afternoon VIP reception, sponsored by Comerica Bank and co- chaired by Susan Rose and Liz Handley. The reception included a tour of the 10,000 square-foot Fox Point Manor, named because of the gray foxes that lived in the area at the time the estate was built.
