Chamber suit Who says political offices can't be bought? In suing the city, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce is maneuvering the legal system to guarantee their right to do so. The chamber's claim of infringement of their freedom of speech countering current limitations on campaign contributions is nothing more than an attempt to license buying political candidates. Success in this quest would only pave the path for special interest groups to donate obscene amounts of money to candidates who best serve their particular interests. This greatly disadvantages the average citizen, considering that the ordinary person has little more than letters and a vote to voice their opinions.

This Note argues that schools are the best line of defense against the growing problem of cyberbullying and offers a guide for schools wary of First Amendment lawsuits by students punished for their cyberspeech. In many cases, a student engaging in cyberbullying of a classmate will create a substantial disruption at school or interfere with the right of the victim to an environment conducive to learning, thus justifying action by the school under the Tinker standard.
