Everett and John Woodrum founded Woodrums Home Outfitting Co. in 1906. In its heyday, Woodrums in downtown Charleston was a veritable Walt Disney World of home furnishings and fine living: 300,000 square feet of space containing the latest in furniture, home dcor accessories, floor coverings and appliances.
