WHITTIER - Leggett and Platt, which manufactures beds and bed parts, plans to consolidate its operations in one of its buildings and sell the other one off to a Santa Fe Springs company. The company, which has been in Whittier since 1973, ended its manufacturing in June 2009 and no longer needs both buildings, said Sheri Mossbeck, vice president and treasurer for Leggett and Platt.
WHITTIER - The Leggett and Platt manufacturing plant here has closed and its entire 20-acre property, including its two buildings is up for sale, company officials said Friday. Manufacturing of beds and bed parts ceased May 14. The company also is looking to find another location for its operations and distribution site, said Jose Leon, vice president of manufacturing at the Whittier office, 12352 Whittier Blvd.
