Many summer flower beds, my own included, have salvia as part of their flower display. It is a common flower found in many shops in plant and seed form. This ready availability has led to a number of questions about the legality of growing salvia.
The confusion stems (no pun intended) from the passage of Ohio House Bill 215, which is a section of Ohio law titled "Controlled Substances." It is divided into a number of sections, one of which addresses the Types I-V controlled substances.
