RICHLAND - , age 64 of Prosser, entered into rest on September 10, 2007 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. He was born on November 1, 1942 in Ellensburg, Washington to John D. and Eva Marie (Leinum) Wilkins. The family lived in Sunnyside for a few years and later moved to Grandview where he graduated from High School in 1960. He then studied horticulture at Yakima Valley Community College where he met his future wife, Madeleine Kay Johnson. The couple married on November 21, 1964 in Portland, Oregon. Johnny worked at Seneca Foods in Prosser from 1964 through 1974 where he learned the electrical trade. In 1975, he established Wilkins Electric which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2003.

The Maplewood Barn Community Theatre Board of Directors received some encouragement yesterday from two city groups about the possible replacement of a city-owned barn that a fire destroyed Monday.
