Harlan A. Daubert, 82, of Fredericksburg, PA died on June 2, 2011 following a brief illness. He was born on December 8, 1928 to Minnie and George Daubert of Suedberg, Pennsylvania. One of seven children, Harlan developed a passion for the piano and musical performance at a young age. Following an early graduation from Pine Grove High School in 1945, he attended Lebanon Valley College to pursue a degree in music education. Later, Harlan would complete graduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University and Lehigh University. During his final semester at Lebanon Valley College, Harlan Daubert launched a 37-year musical teaching career at Fredericksburg High School, beginning with a band of 18 members. Corbett, a Republican who becomes the first Allegheny County resident to be elected governor since Richard Thornburgh in 1978, met his wife of 38 years at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, while he was dating another girl.

D3 Pro Day named Lebanon Valley College's senior running back Ben Guiles, a third-team offense All-America pick. Guiles (Columbia), last season's MAC rushing leader with 1,330 yards, was named a first- team preseason All-American by the D3 Senior Classic and a second- teamer by d3football.com and Consensus Draft Services.

The 24th Annual Lebanon Valley College Honors Band Festival concert will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, with 11 students from Lancaster County participating.
The free concert, titled "March Madness," will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Lutz Hall of the Blair Music Center at Lebanon Valley College. The 96 high school musicians will play marches of all styles, national origins and periods.
