John Luttrell of Dayton Christian overtook front-runner Greg Roeth of Miamisburg with 1,000 meters remaining and withstood a strong rally to win the Ed Leas Cross Country Classic at Eaton in 15 minutes, 56 seconds Saturday. Roeth was second (15:57), and DC's Walter Luttrell was third (15:59). Miamisburg swept the boys' and girls' team titles. Megan Wright won the girls' race for the Vikings (19:34).
