LOS ANGELES - The Phillies and Dodgers are back in the National League championship series for the second straight year, making them the closest thing the NL has to a couple of dominant teams.

The Indians tied the score and won 2-1 in 11 innings.

He can rope-a-dope you a little bit," said Melvin, who will send Davis to the mound tonight in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against Colorado. "But I think it works for him.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a high-stakes wager placing Ghirardelli and Hershey's chocolates on the line, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Arlen Specter today announced that they have placed a friendly wager on the National League Championship series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the San Francisco Giants. The winner of the bet will receive a supply of delicacies from the loser's home district: Ghirardelli's chocolate from San Francisco or Hershey's chocolate from Pennsylvania. The first game in the series is Saturday.
I am not sure which part of this bet will be sweeter, the Phillies in the World Series again, or enjoying Ghirardelli's chocolate while watching the Phillies in the World Series," Specter said. "I commend Speaker Pelosi for sticking with her ...
