Stella Carnegie and Kelly Larsen have taken on so many roles and been asked to handle such a variety of responsibilities during their volleyball careers at Viewpoint, it would be hard to classify the seniors by only one position and unfair to limit their contributions with a single adjective. At the top of coach Frank Pontello's list would be: "great girls" and "winners.

YEARS AGO n Grant's fifty hard run and Saum's offensive play was too much for Boonville as Evansville High School won the game 15 to 0. Evansville began their scoring in the first quarter after a series of excellent runs and passes and was finished off by a two yard plunge into the end zone by Saum. Evansville's last score came in the final quarter when Grant broke off for a fifty yard touchdown run. Evansville never let Boonville even get close to scoring as they held them to their side of the field most of the game.

RIDGEWOOD -- The Ramapo gymnastics team just keeps winning at Ridgewood. A week ago, the Green Raiders celebrated their first Bergen County title in 23 years competing in rival territory. Six days later they came back and won a North Jersey Gymnastics League title.

• Spalding Captures Shore Title ; Still, Lynch Lead Cavs to Mat Crown

Mike Still (103 pounds) and Charlie Lynch (152) brought home individual titles and Archbishop Spalding captured the team title as the Cavaliers outlasted Sussex Central and 25 other teams to win the War at the Shore wretling tournament on Saturday. Spalding finished with 190 points, 31 points ahead of Sussex Central, and had nine wrestlers finish in the top eight.
