  • The American Bar Association has already determined it wants more reliable and detailed information from law schools regarding graduate job placement, but two class action suits filed last week in New York and Michigan also want law schools to be held civilly liable for the information they provide. The suits were filed against New York Law School in New York County Supreme Court and Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan but as plaintiffs' attorney David Anziska of Kurzon Strauss LLP in New York explained: "These suits are not just about NYLS and Thomas Cooley -- we believe the practice of inflating employment statistics and salary information is endemic among law schools.
