In a case in which an FBI agent obtained sealed files about the plaintiff from state and local police agencies, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York determined law enforcement and deliberative process privileges protected the disclosure of some information relating to how the agent obtained the records, In the Matter of the application of J. Miller Jr. v. K. Mehltretter (March 19).
