Ingram touched the lives of hundreds of young persons during his career. If you grew up playing sports on any of the local playgrounds in Fort Lauderdale anywhere from the '60s up to now, you were bound to have run across Coach Ingram. I personally witnessed Ingram the player and Ingram the coach while attending full house games at the Dillard High Panther's Den. He brought the same excitement and enthusiasm when he coached as when he played the game. Although he had successful stints while coaching at Piper, Douglass, and Boyd Anderson High Schools, Panthers blue and gray ran through his veins. His compiled a record 553 wins to 188 losses during his coaching career in Broard County.

I received a call from Mrs. [Alicia Antone], who said she had just been fired," [Gwen Hankerson] told members of the Elder's Council during the organization's monthly meeting at the library this week. "She was upset and so am I because it is not right for this young woman to have the legs cut out from under her for no reason. The community must take a stand because as far as I am concerned, the county could care less about AARLCC, and we have to let them know this is [our] library.
"[Bertha Henry] did meet with us, at my home," Hankerson acknowledged. "I can't reveal all that was discussed, but we have a delegation that will go before the county commission because we're concerned about this, our library."

These programs have come under a lot of scrutiny lately," [Phyllis C. Hope] said. "So to see you here tonight shows that we want to make women and minority businesses a viable part of the Broward County School Board.
"In spite of the fact that there is a lawsuit against the county government that relates to minority programs, the school board at this present time continues to put these goals in their contracts," said [Michael Garrison]. "We are making it easier for small business and minority-owned businesses to work with the School Board."
"We as a public school system, not only are we the largest employer here in Broward County of 38,000 employees, but we also have a core value and belief in building partnerships and ensuring that we can encourage succession planning," [Jim Notter] ...
