Construction finally is beginning at Venango Trails, a 473-home development in Marshall expected to cost nearly nearly $100 million.
After the resolution of issues such as the number and types of houses and traffic, land development has started and is expected to be completed by the spring. Then, home construction will start, according to Brett Malky, president of EQA Landmark Communities, managing developer for VT Partners.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration yesterday proposed a trust fund of more than $800 million to pay for the cleanup of closed General Motors sites in 14 states.
