SALT LAKE CITY -- Lucy Mack Smith's 1841 edition of the Book of Mormon and the original 1842 Relief Society minute book are two of 65 historical items to be displayed in this year's "Treasures of the Collection" exhibit at the Church History Library. Letters, photos, journals and other historical artifacts from the early days of the Relief Society will highlight the three-day exhibit at the Church History Library, located just east of the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

Some walkers and two snowmobiles were seen crossing Chautauqua Lake this past week. Shore ice was still solid as of Tuesday morning at Mack's Boat Livery on the southeast corner of Silver Lake.

The Southaven Rotary Club recently recognized its Student and Teacher of the Month from Horn Lake High School: MacKenzie "Mack" Cooley and John Cooley, respectively. Mack is a senior at HLHS with at 4.04 GPA. He scored a 29 on his ACT. He has the highest average in keyboarding and computer applications. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Superintendent's Youth Leadership Council. Mack plays on the football and baseball teams. He has done volunteer work at Youth Villages, HomeRun 5K and Special Olympics. His college plans are to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin to study to be a park ranger and game warden.
