It's hard to understand how two teenagers -- not yet old enough to drive, vote or buy tickets to an R-rated movie -- could devise a plan to kidnap, torture and even kill fellow classmates.
Child psychiatrists, youth counselors and even legal professionals don't have an answer either. But they all echo a common piece of advice: Know your child.

That's straight from the musician's mouth -- in this case the mouth of Jonah Rapino, a member of the musical trio Devil Music Ensemble, which is touring the country playing live music to accompany the rare 1929 action film. Red Heroine, the only surviving episode of ...

GONE (2012, Summit, PG-13, $30) -- Amanda Seyfried stars as a former kidnap victim who's convinced that her missing sister has been snatched by the same nutjob who held her hostage years earlier. After Seyfried fails to convince the police of her suspicions, she sets out to rescue her sister herself. There's no subtlety to the picture; director Heitor Dhalia slams through scenes, doing little to shape the performances or finesse the action. Despite being forced to play one emotion (fear) throughout the movie, Seyfried works hard to pull you in. And she mostly succeeds. "Gone" is pure B- movie pulp, but it's just good enough to get the blood pumping. Extras: none.
