At its Dec. 7 meeting, the Diamond Bar City Council unanimously selected Steve Tye to serve as mayor and Ling-Ling Chang as mayor pro tem for the 2010-2011 mayoral term. Tye was first elected to the City Council in November 2005. Before that, he was appointed to the Planning Commission four times (1997-2005), including two terms as chairman. Tye previously served as mayor in 2007-2008.

Hundreds of employees, school staff and community members made the holiday brighter for many children in the Rowland Unified School District (RUSD).
