DELMAR, Iowa - , 70, of Delmar, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Genesis Medical Center, De Witt, Campus, after a four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. A natural journey farewell with cremation has taken place. In keeping with Kenny's wishes, no services are planned.

The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft United States (U.S.) positions that will be discussed at the 20th Session of the Codex Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods (CCRVDF) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (Codex), which will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico from May 7-11, 2012. The Under Secretary for Food Safety and FDA recognize the importance of providing interested parties the opportunity to obtain background information on the 20th Session of the CCRVDF, and to address items on the agenda.

Irene Burleson Lowery, 94, of the 3500 block of Sugar Run, passed away April 8, 2004, in Maryview Nursing Care Center in Suffolk. A native of Salisbury, N.C., Mrs. Lowery was the daughter of the late Hem and Ellen Burleson and the widow of William Q.A. Lowery. She was a Methodist. She is survived by her daughter, Ilene L. Myers of Chesapeake; a brother, Price Burleson of High Point, N.C.; two grandsons, Herbert L. Myers Jr. and his wife Donna of Carrollton and Stephen L. Myers and wife Rhonda of Suffolk; three great-grandchildren, Alexis N. Myers, Kyle Ganey and Aimee Bond; one great-great-grandchild, Lee Bond; along with a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Stinson and Kenneth Lowery and her daughter, Regina Lowery.

ORONO - , 84, died peacefully, July 16, 2012, surrounded by her loving family in Bangor. Nydda was a gracious loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Houlton, daughter of Emerald Jasper and Ruth H. (Wilkins) Barker. Nydda and her husband, L eland Lowery, celebrated 62 years of marriage April 9, 2012. Nydda graduated summa cum laude from Colby College in 1949, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Her erudition served her well in her hobbies of scrabble, crosswords and jumbles. Nydda also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and knitting with her friends. An avid sports fan, she followed University of Maine sports teams.
