• Office Space Rent: How Low Will It Go? ; N.Y. Rates May Sink 25 Percent; N.J. Could See 15 Percent Decline

NEW YORK -- Rents for top office space in New York City may fall as much as much 25 percent over the next three years, while rents in North Jersey will drop as much as 15 percent, as the real-estate market feels the impact of the economic downturn, a leading real- estate researcher said this week. DeLuca resigned Nov. 30 from the seat he held for 17 years. In June, he confessed to having asked James Galante, a trash hauler with alleged organized crime ties, to threaten a man who DeLuca believed was abusing his granddaughter.

NEW YORK - Wall Street ended an uneasy session mostly lower and bond prices tumbled Wednesday after the Federal Reserve suggested it might not be through raising interest rates if they're needed to fight inflation caused by soaring energy and commodities prices.
